On the 5th of June 2013 a group of young people, participants in the youth exchange “Mind your heritage“, have visited us to get to know what we are doing and learn more about old buildings in Chisinau. We presented them the Flat Space and also showed them the pool next to the Chekhov Theater that we cleaned last summer in order to organize a screening with the title “Demolition“. The group was really interested and had a lot of question and the also tried to understand the situation in Chisinau better.

APARTAMENT DESCHIS – proiectie de film

Sâmbătă, la ora 20.30, va fi proiectat filmul  “The Tango Lesson” – în susţinerea proiectului de dans social şi muzică vie – “Summer Stories”. În cadrul proiecţiei de film, vor fi puse la bătaie 4 invitaţii, la petrecerea “Summer stories”, care va avea loc duminică, 19 mai, în incinta restaurantului “Bier Platz”.

Filmul “The Tango lesson” este semi-autobiografic în regia lui Sally Potter, despre pasiunile îndrăgostiţilor, redate în limbajul celui mai sentimental dans – Tango.

Grupul de inițiativă “Flori de mai” se va întruni la Apartamentul Deschis din str. București 68 timp de o saptamână pentru a fonda Departamentul Alternativ de Cultură. Unul din scopurile Departamentului este de a oferi posibilitate oamenilor de artă să creeze împreună, să-și unească resursele și ideile, să invețe, să experimenteze și să se exprime pe deplin.

Evenimentul este deschis pentru toți oamenii iubitori de artă. Vom sărbători cu muzică bună și ceai din partea casei.

The Innitiative group “Flori de mai” will meet daily, for one week at the Flat Space situated at Bucuresti str. 68 in order to create the Altermative Department of Culture. One of the goals of the Department is to offer the possibility for artists to create together, to join their resourses and ideas, to learn and experiment together and to fully and freely express themselves.

The event is open for all art lovers. We will celebrate with good music and free tea.

Last week on the 23rd of April the center of contemporary dramaturgie used the Flat Space to do a performance. We helped them out in providing the space and also serving tea, coffee and cookies. Three actors were reading out the play of Ion Gutu, which was about people and their reactions to different situations. The idea of the author was to make it last longer than usual, as a kind of experiment and see if people would watch it until the end. In the mean time there were many passers by who didn’t hesitate to stop and listen to the actors in the Flat.

Pe data de 6 aprilie, 2013 la Apartamentul Deschis a avut loc evenimentul ‘Politicul o privește pe fiecare / политика касается каждую‘, cu participarea lui Vadim Lungul. În textele sale poetice este abordat vidul care s-a creat între cetățeni ai căror implicare civică se reduce simplu la participare la vot, și un activist politic preocupat de un spectru mult mai larg de probleme sociale, economice și de alt ordin. Fiecare participant a fost implicat în aceast performance fiind invitat să citească textele împreună cu autorul, aceștia fiind separați, la modul simbolic, de o ușă de apartament.

Last Saturday (6th of april, 2013) the event ‘Politicul o privește pe fiecare / политика касается каждую‘ was held in the Flat Space. Organizer of this meeting Vadim Lungul analyzed some political issues and expressed them in his poems. Every participant had been involved in the performance as the poetical texts were read not only by the author but also by the audience.

Cînd ne-am decis să orgaizăm un picnic urban în mijlocul scuarului ne-a fost frică de numărul mare de mașini parcate în jur și de vîntul puternic, care ar fi putut să ne împrăștie paharele și mîncarea. Pînă la urmă, nici mașinăria omului și nici forțele naturii nu ne-au împiedicat să ne adunăm împreună pentru a gusta din bucatele și din vinul adus, și să ascultăm muzică. Acum știm cu siguranță, nimic nu poate opri B68!

When we decided to prepare an urban picnic in the middle of the square, we were afraid of the big amount of cars parked on it, and the furious wind trying to spread our glasses and our food. But neither the human machinery nor the force of nature could avoid that the people gathered together to enjoy nice food, nice wine and nice music. Now we know for sure: nothing can stop B68!

Pe 11 martie am ieșit pentru o nouă rundă de distribuție a fluturașelor pe geamul mașinilor. De data aceasta am folosit următorul mesaj: “Felicitări! Automobilul dvs. este al 200 000-lea într-un oraș proiectat pentru 80 000 mașini!”. De asemenea, am încercat să invităm și alți oameni să ni se alăture pentru a distribui mesajul, însă nici de această dată nu ne-a reușit să-i atragem, poate din cauza timpului urît de afară care i-a ținut departe de grupul mare al reprezentaților mass-mediei. Vreo 6 televiziuni și cîteva posturi radio au fost la Apartament Deschis pentru a relata despre campania noastră. Întreaga situație mi-a părut amuzantă, cum jurnaliștii asaltau cu întrebări lumea din scuar și în special șoferii. Ei păreau a fi un fel de răpitori care se aruncau asupra pradei, în acest caz prada fiind conducătorii auto. E bine că am reușit să atragem atenția mass-mediei, dar sper să reușim să atragem și noi oameni care să ne sprijine în eforturile noastre.

On the 11th of March we went out to have another round of putting flyers on cars. This time we had the sentences: “Congratulation! Your car is the 200 000 one, in a city designed for 80 000 cars!” We also tried to invite people to join us to distribute the flyers. We didn’t have that much success this time either. Maybe it was the rainy weather that kept the people away or the big crowd of mass media. In total there were 6 different TV station and also a couple of radio stations at Flat Space to film our campaign and report about the whole event. I found it kind of funny, to see how the mass media was attacking everybody in their surrounding with their questions, especially the car drivers. For me it looked at some point like raptors luring for their prey, which in this case where the car drivers. It’s nice to see that we got the attention from the mass media. Maybe next time we also manage to attract  more people to join our efforts.
